Pretty in Blue

Really blue flowers are unusual in the gardening world but the flower of the herb, borage, is blue and a very pretty blue.

We are supposed to get a hard frost tonight, it seems it gets later and later each year.

That borage is very pretty. I like the buds. I would love to see your bottle tree. Did you post on it? I am so glad to hear a somewhat northerner-maybe more midwesterner has a bottle tree.

Tina, I will get a picture of my bottle tree up tonight.

This is a lovely shade of blue! True blue flowers are indeed hard to come by--usually when the label says "blue", they're actually a shade of purple or lavender, though I like those colors, too.
Thanks for visiting my blog. We haven't had a frost yet in Illinois, but I know it's coming soon.

I've grown borage before. I always forge to cook with it, though. It's worth growing just for the flowers, though. I need to get some seeds to plant again.

Do you cook with yours?
