The Mighty Mississippi

We went for a nice long fall drive last weekend to apple country in Wisconsin, we bought yummy apples, jams and cheese curds. The fall color has not quite reached its peak but it has started, I wish the sky has been blue but it was still a fun day.

Pretty In Red

I'm not sure what kind of berries these are but they make a pretty picture. I took this photo in a local park.

This was an unusal sighting here Iowa a week ago, a flock of pelicans overhead, no doubt heading south for the winter.

Fall Crocus

My fall crocus all ended up on the ground this year this year instead of standing up tall, not sure why. After I took this photo I picked them all and brought them in the house so I could enjoy them more inside than outside.

Quiet Beauty

I love this photo just for its simplicity.

My life has been crazy for the past couple of weeks, we are getting new software at work, last week I worked almost 60 hours. Today I brought work home, got home and fixed supper, I have been working ever since, tomorrow will be more of the same. I guess they think the new software will make the company profitable, I think otherwise, but I am glad to be employed right now, I guess.
