A Spring Sunday
I am beginning to wonder if spring will ever get here. The weather woman said we were going to have sun all day long, it did not come out until about 1 o'clock, by then I had started a round of spring cleaning inside so I was too tired to do much outside, it was too wet anyway, I did get the patio cleaned off, then I sat outside enjoying the sun and listening to the birds. The dogs got to go for a nice walk around the lake, they would love to chase the geese, the geese are used to dogs and do not take them seriously.

A Fun Day at Reimans
We awoke this AM to yet another cloudy, dreary, foggy day! We have received over 3 inches of rain in the past 24 hours, so things are soggy and wet. We decided to go to Reimans to see the butterflies, it was an enjoyable day. We stopped on the way home in Eldora, IA at a large tropical fish store and bought a few new fish.

April in Iowa
Today was windy windy windy, but the sun was out. I came home from work with the intent of raking some of my flower beds, but my nice hubby had most of raking done so we took the dogs for a walk, we saw a flock of pelicans, not sure where they were going, I have not seen them before, do pelicans fly north? I also saw twice today something I had not seen around here before, a black squirrel, we have only red ones. I have heard that the two do not live in the same area.
Sharing a few shots of my inside plants.

Blue Sky
Finally a nice beautiful spring day and of course I was at work. I snapped a few pics yesterday which was sunny like today but colder with a brisk north wind. The buds are of a soft maple tree and the rhubarb is just beautiful coming out of the ground, don't you think. Looks like a quilt.
I have had fish tanks since my 21st birthday when I received a 10 gallon tank for a present. I currently have a 55 gallon tank which I have had for a few years. When I was in the 6th grade my aunt gave me some guppies, I remember how excited I was to wake up one morning and see all kinds of baby guppies, I received a gift certificate from PetsMart for Christmas so I decided to get a small tank and some guppies, I did not want to add them to my large tank. I put the guppy tank on a stand by computer desk, it has been most enjoyable. These guppies look nothing like the ones I had in 6th grade.

Rain, More Rain and Other Things
It has been so dreary, rainy, cold for the past two days and tomorrow is more of the same, we received an inch and a half of rain last night, not sure what we got today.
My poor Lady Cardinal looks cold and wet.
Sharing a Lemon Meringue pie I baked, wish I could share a piece with all of you while we talked gardening :), and more of my AVs.

Way Too Cute!
My neighbor and his grandson were out and about Saturday afternoon enjoying the nice warm spring weather, I snapped this photo of James and Quasi-Boy, it was too cute not to share.
As I sit here posting this, it is snowing again, I think it is time for Ole Man Winter to hit the road. How about you?

New Camera
Cameras are my weakness, I used a SLR, a Pentax K1000 for years. I bought my first digital camera in 1997, it took a picture at 600 X 460 pixels or some such, but I love my toys. I have had several digital cameras since. One of my friends calls me Best Buy Betty..........lol.........and no my name is not Betty but I do love Best Buy.
My latest camera is a Nikon P5100, it takes great pictures, the above photos were in a magazine, I took a picture of the picture :)

New Beginnings
Today was a beautiful spring day! Finally! I wish tomorrow could be more of the same but it does not sound like that is gonna happen. I took the opportunity to clean out my raspberry bed, I did not get it finished but I put a large dent in the task. Loved soaking up all that Vitamin D. I stopped long enough to take a few pictures of plants poking their nose out of the ground.
