Last Saturday we went to a local greenhouse that has hundreds of poinsettias on display along with lights, while there I snapped a few photos of their orchids.

The orchids are pretty. I visited Longwood Gardens' Conservatory on Thanksgiving Day. I saw lots of poinsettias and other plants.
I do so love orchids but have never been successful with growing them. Frustrating... That doesn't mean that I don't appreciate seeing them. Meijer Gardens has so many of them and I love seeing them there.

Very nice to see orchids on this cold day. I have one plant given to me i March...I hope I can grow it successfully!
Everytime I see lovely orchids like those, I think--I am going to try that for my father was a passionate grower. Somehow, I always end up putting the thought on the back burner. Maybe this time.
I have 3 but they have slowed down with the blooms.
