These pictures were taken before the lastest 3 days of snow. This last round brought us about 13 inches where I live, others received more more, the pictures on the news tonight of Chicago were something.
Lovely photos! Our snow has overtaken everything, and we are in day two of many closures in businesses and schools...but with the sunshine the skies today the views are phenomenal! I really love the weather here!
The sun has brightened the day here. It is brisk but I went around the block to make sure all were shoveled out.I have my wool shirt on that I only wear a few times a year.
Having lived all my life in tropical Sri Lanka, I've always wanted to experience winter snow for real. These photos are dreamy, but too much of even something this beautiful is bad,as it has turned out, isn't it?

Would have hated to have been in one of those stranded cars in Chicago.
I love snow but would have hated being trapped in my car like those poor souls.
13 inches is a lot.
Is that a snow covered river or a pond? We have a snow covered pond and I'd love to go skating but I don't want to shovel anymore snow!
That shot with sun trying to break through is a real keeper!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

Those pictures of the cars on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago were horrific. But, I saw on the news this morning that it's all cleaned up already.
You got a lot more snow than we did. I'm figuring that we only got about four inches.
yuck, yuck and more yuck....

It has been quite the snowy winter... Love the tall grasses against the snow.

Hate the snow. Am up to my neck in it, here in North Central Illinois, too!!
