What a blue bird it is!!! I bet it'll have the bird experts up in arms in search....call Nat. Geo. quick!!
Love the photos....that 3rd one, with just the profile of the cardinal is incredible.
My Critter blog this week is a photo of a laughing gull, AND I added a touching dog video -1.5 minutes long- of a dog that was blown away in a tornado only to CRAWL home 2 weeks later. It's a must see...the stamina and determination of animals.
I have a few of those rare birds around my yard. When I first found one I started laughing being the only one in the greenhouse other than a young girl wondering who this crazy guy was.

That is a rare bird alright. Hope he's native to Iowa, and doesn't migrate north!!! LOL

I am not sure if he is native to Iowa, someone said it is a species from Target, so they must be all over the country :).
Lovely shots : )

PS....I so agree with you on the story about Mason, the dog. I could NOT give him up either.

I love the third photo. And the bird in the fourth one looks like it could be a cross between the two birds in the previous picture. :o)

My Critter post, have a blessed Sunday!
LOL! They are beautiful! Since we don't have Target here, I'm quite sure we won't find that last one.
Haha! Your fifth photo took me completely by surprise. :)) Love the photos. How nice to see how the chickadee and cardinal appear to get along.
What a trip! Great comic relief. ;)

I will trawl through my books to try to identify the last one... it may take a very, very long time though :)
The blue bird is by far my favorite! :)
