Blue Flowers

As all gardeners know true blue flowers are difficult to find and even more difficult to photograph as they always look purple or lavender. I have bluebells all along my fence in the backyard, they are remind me of spring and May alters when I was growing up.

Stunning flowers; we have blue crocus and anemone blanda at the moment...the delphiniums are just starting to peep out from the soil.

I recognise the convolvulus and the delphinium, but what are the first two photos? Great photos, by the way.

The first two photos are of bluebells, they are a wildflower found in the American midwest, they bloom in spring, after blooming the foilage dies down.

Lucky Ruth! We still have snow and ice, I can't wait to see some green.

You took all these photos?! Wow. I went to the Webshots site. Very nice.

Yes I took all those photos, Sally, thanks for looking at my pictures on Webshots. Makes me sad when I go back and look at my Jessi Belle who I lost in July of 2002, I still miss that dog. I miss all my pets but she was really special.

Lovely photos. The posting had me a moment, as I was also planning one on blue flowers! Mine are tropical, though.

The first one is of the blue columbine and the second a sky blue delphinium. Probably the bluest of the blue flowers would be the Meconopsis betonicifolia the Himalayan poppy but difficult to grow I understand so have put off buying a plant. Here's a link to a picture of one. http://www.thimblefarms.com/15pren.html
