Clivia

My Clivia is in bloom! I have had this plant for about 15 or more years. It has bloomed every spring for about the past 10 or 12 years, last summer it bloomed in the spring and once more later in the summer.

I love those things, we used to grow those things outside year round in CA. My grandmother had lots of them and they grew like crazy. She was always giving away divisions. They didnt like the hot sun though, and had to be kept in the shade all the time.

Beautiful clivia. We had one once but sometimes it would send out a very short stem so the flowers would seem like it was right on the base of the Y where the leaves sprouted. Kudos to you that you have had it for so many years.

Thanks Miss Canthus and Sally!

Nickie I would love to see these plants growing outside, must be a beautiful sight.

Ki, I have had this plant bloom right at the base also, I am not sure what causes that, I wish I knew.
