Spider Flower (Cleome)

Cleome is one of my favorite annuals, it is one of the flowers I remember from my childhood, an older neighbor lady had spider flowers planted in her garden, they really caught my attention. I plant them every year some years they reseed themselves, some years they don't.

I love cleome too - I don't always plant it because some years it reseeds all over the place! But then I lose it and have to start over. Another fav for me is cosmos - so fun to watch on a breezy day.

I have seen these flowers on other sites but wasn't sure what they were they are very pretty with a delicate look about them. I hope they grow in the UK.

I've only planted cleome once...I thought it was lovely but strangely, I've never planted it again. Hm.

Beautiful shot! I've had it before too. I don't know why I gave up on it! Beautiful!

These are wonderful photographs! This year, I have had success with Cleome.... they grew tall and have flowered beautifully. In past years, they didn't do well at all. I would be really happy if they reseeded!

What wonderful pictures of your cleome. This is a difficult flower to photograph but you did a great job.
