Brugmasia

My Brugs are in full bloom again................YIPEE, I love these flowers. Since I took these photos last Saturday, I have brought them inside for the winter, it had been so windy and they were getting blown over, it will be too cold for them soon anyway. I put the plants in the basement by a south window with a grow light close by, I will water them until they are done blooming, then I will slow down with the water until early next spring. The fragrance in the house is almost over whelming...........wonderful, wonderful scent.

Those are beautiful flowers and photos. The flowers are simply stunning - and I love the blue sky in the background. I've never grown these - and really don't have a good place to overwinter them - so I'm happy I can enjoy yours!!

You captured the glowing light beautifully. I love the one of the untwisting bud...I can see you were flat on your back for that one...

I love these flowers and the way they hang down from the plant. They have such a beautiful shape and colour. It's great that you are able to keep them from one year to the next.

The caterpillar shots are lovely, and so are these brugs. Inspired by yours and other garden bloggers, I got my first brug plant last week!

How lovely are these flowers!!! What a pretty little tree. I'm surprised they smell good...you know how things usually are one thing or another ...beautiful but stinky or barbed, etc! LOL.

Exquisite photos! Love the close-ups of the middle of the flower. Nice angles from underneath, too. The bright yellow with the bright sun make me yearn for just one more day of sunshine!!

I don't think I know these flowers. Did you purchase them at a nursery? They look like large plants. I doubt I could overwinter them... but they really are beautiful!

ps I finally found Black Swallowtail caterpillars on my parsley!

You did a fantastic job capturing the beauty of the flower. It is good you can keep them from one year to the next.
