Birds at the Bar

Last weekend during our ice storm the birds were busy at our feeders.........you can see the ice on the feeder. During a storm I usually fill the feeders several times, yesterday I think I either filled or dusted snow off of the platform feeders a half a dozen times.

I would love to see a cardinal that close. there are two that live in my neighbourhood but they stay high in the trees or on the wires. your pictures have reminded me that I need to fill my feeder.
cheers

That is a sharp red on in the feathers. Well done taking these pictures.

Great contrast between the feeders in the storm and the hibiscus :-)
Great pictures too. Thanks for sharing.

I've moved a couple of feeders closer to the window. I'd love to have a cardinal that close too. I'm finding out that bird feeding in the winter is a lot of trouble, but oh so worth it.

Look at that snow! Last winter was my first in the NW and I really missed it. This winter? Not so much. But, it's nice to see so thanks for posting these pics today!!

I LOVE feeding and enjoying the visiting birds! Could be the best thing about Winter. :-)

Do you have a birdbath water heater?

No problems with squirrels??
I love to watch birds all year around, there are little feathered friends. No snow is too deep I fill up the feeders every day..
cheers Gisela

I love the bright red of the cardinal...we don't have them here.
We just had a nice snowfall here, too.

I too thought when I saw your picture that I needed to check my bird feeder. It is hard to remember to do that when you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. Plus I miss seeing all the birds. Thanks for sharing!!
