Rain, More Rain and Other Things

It has been so dreary, rainy, cold for the past two days and tomorrow is more of the same, we received an inch and a half of rain last night, not sure what we got today.
My poor Lady Cardinal looks cold and wet.
Sharing a Lemon Meringue pie I baked, wish I could share a piece with all of you while we talked gardening :), and more of my AVs.

I keep saying to myself over & over "rain in April is a good thing." I think I prefer the coloring of the Lady Cardinal over the male. Hers is a subtle beauty.

Well - it's better than the SNOW we had yesterday!!! You do a nice meringue. Looks good.

thanks Sally! And you are correct about the snow, it snowed here most of the day, it did not stick but it was snow. This AM the sky is blue but it was chilly walking the dogs this morning.

Hi IGW! I hear you on the dreary factor! Enough is enough, eh? :-) We had another inch or so of snow again yesterday too, but all gone today, which turned out to be a lovely (if a bit windy) sunny day. Got out and took more pics of the crocus and early bloomers, so they'll be appearing at my place soon, along with the first Squill and Hibiscus flowers!

Even though yesterday was a depressing rainy mess, at least I was greeted in the morning by the first Hibiscus bloom on Erin Rachel thus far this year! Electric pink, red and orange at the bottom of the stairs helped put me in a more positive mood. :-) Hibiscus always makes me happier!
