Bottle Tree

I did not get home from work in time to get a picture of my bottle but I did find the picture I took when we first put it up last fall.
Tina http://tinaramsey.blogspot.com/ asked to see a picture after I commented on her blog about a picture of her bottle tree.
I have forgotten how to make her name a link, darn it! I need to brush up on this blogging thing again :).
Tina asked if I knew the story behind the trees, the first one I saw was in the Ray Charles movie, it is a southern thing, evil spirits are supposed to get caught in the bottles and therefore unable to enter the house. Anyway that is my idea.

You have a beautiful bottle tree! I love it as those diamond colors are super great. I also like the garden in behind it. Thanks for the link. It took me FOREVER to learn how to do the linking thing. Dave and Frances had to help me. If you email me, I can help you with it if you like. ramseytina5@gmail.com Thank you so much for showing it and that story is a neat story of the evil spirits. None at your place they are busy admiring the bottles and getting captured. Sorry, I like to talk. Can you tell?:) Hope you don't mind.

Tina, as I was laying in bed last night I remembered how to do the link (the kind with your name being the link), I will change it tonight...... I love to talk also so chat away. Tell us your story about the bottle tree, is it the evil spirits as well? I would like to do another one with a variety of bottles but all my trees are so big. My daughter and her husband are stationed at Fort Benning in GA, I asked if she has seen any bottle trees, she has not, so maybe it has fallen out of favor down south?

Ummm...huh...OK. LOL Very interesting. I've never heard of such a thing. Do you take your bottles in in the winter?

Hey, I saw a bottle tree in someone's yard as we were driving by this afternoon! They had all kinds of things in that yard as well. We'll have to go by that way again and look closer.
