A Couple of Zinnias

This week has been a beautiful week weather wise! I wish I had been able to take a few days off but that is not in cards, darn it! I hope the weekend is this nice.
Any readers out there? I am reading a wonderful book, Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski, it is a first novel. I love big thick books when the are good and this one is good. There is so much going on in the world right now I am not getting in as much reading time as usual.

Hi IGW,
Isn't it great we still have the Zinnias for color? We also have a lot of Calendulas, Moss Rose and Celosias still hanging in there bright and cheery ... and of course the Toad Lilies you saw over at my place.

Time to harvest our pumpkins and corn stalks and bring them out front to get the Halloween started!

The top one! What kind is it? I saw ones like it at an historical farm and I want to grow them. I love zinnias!

Old Roses, I wish I could tell you what zinnia it is, but I can't.

Iowa, thanks for stopping by, I love the fall and pumpkins etc, it is my favorite season.

I love zinnias. They are such hardy, predictable, beautiful flowers. No coddling needed there! I didn't grow any this year because of the rains. Maybe next year - who knows.
