I was playing around a bit with collages tonight. I liked the way these turned out. Last week I bought a pretty frame with 5 different size openings, I cropped several photos of just the wing patterns on my butterfly pictures and put them in the frame, I really like the look. It gives a whole different perspective.
I placed an order today with Select Seeds, bought some poppy seeds and few other odds and ends, they have just heirloom seeds. I also ordered a couple of Lantanas and a Brugmansia. I had three Brugs but last summer with the flood and all, they did not get proper care so I ditched them last fall instead of over wintering them like I normally do.

Oh, I like the collage too, very much! I was fascinated by the different species, because many of them we obviously don't have here in Nova Scotia. Now I must learn HOW to do collages.
Oooooo...how cool! How did you do that?
Thanks for stopping by to see me. Rosie is an absolute doll! All your pets are really sweet.
Lovely collage with the butterfly wings.
We don't have beautiful gardens here due to the heat; I love looking at other folks' gardens. I'll be checking on yours.
Sally, I cropped the photos (all taken at Reimans) in PSP and then collaged them in Picasa, very easy :).
I haven't forgotten about your request for summer photos of the Black Elderberry, I will get some posted.
The collage is lovely. You have many beautiful butterflies I'm not familiar with.
I was interested to read about ordering brugmansia seed. I have wanted to start one for ages but didn't know what to do with it over winter. If you don't mind answering a couple questions. Do they bloom the first year from seed? How do you store them over winter?
Thanks for stopping by my site and leaving a comment about ground cherries. I'm always happy to find a gardener in my general area with approx the same climate.

Okay, I guess I am one day going to have try the collage thing in Picasa. A big step for me since I just realized that is where my blog photos go and all this time I did not know it. Ha! Your collage looks fabulous and I do enjoy them on everyone's blogs. I also noticed your Angel Wing. It sure is a lovely plant.
Your butterfly collages are indeed stunning ~ a beautiful post on this overcast day.
What a lovely splash of color. Your collage is a day brightener!
Lovely collage! I love butterflies!!
