It is snowing AGAIN! I can't believe this but then again I can, after all it is Iowa.
I bought this phalanopis orchid at Wal Mart for 15 dollars, it seems very healthy and has been blooming for a month now. The orchid I got for Mother's Day last may is at a temporary lull, but it is throwing 3 new spikes out, I have a white phalanopsis orchid that blooms once a year for me that is going to be in bloom probably within a couple of weeks, I have had it for several years.

Snow is definitely not beautiful in April, whereas your orchid certainly is!!!
I'm sorry you are having snow! But at least it looks tropical inside with that beautiful blooming Orchid. Lovely!

We tried the Phalanopsis orchids a while back, but failed miserably with them after about a year, so hats off to you for making yours thrive!
Yeah, we got snow too, but at least our crocus are finally starting to bloom all over and the tulips and daffs and other bulbs are coming up! Let's just hope there are no more long cold spells!
I love your little garden buddies. I'm without four footed buddies just now. I'm going to have to work on that.
I just bought two Phalanopsis orchids at Lowe's...a white one and a purple one. I know nothing about them. Wish me luck.
