Shades of Pink from Last Summer

Had a super wonderful day, worked outside puttering at my own pace, took lots of breaks to listen to the birds, the wrens are back singing their little lungs out. I saw a Mama Robin with a new hatchling already out of the nest, which surprised me, seems early.
We went out for Chinese, stopped and browsed some perennials, purchased 3 which will be planted tomorrow.

Sounds like you had a perfect day today. I had one much the same. I have finished all I have to do so far in my front perennial beds and have now started planting in the back raised veggie beds.

Your roses are beautiful. What is the bottom photo? It makes a very interesting image.

Coneflower, the bottom photo is of a honeysuckle bloom that is not open fully, then I cropped the photo. That bush is one named pink lemonade that I had for over 20 years but it is one that did not make it when they put our new patio in :(. The hummingbirds loved it.

Lovely pinks! The rose is my favorite, but the honeysuckle is a gorgeous photo. Shouldn't be long before shades of pink will appear in your gardens.

My garden is looking quite pink at the moment and only this morning I saw the first blackbird fledgling of the year. I can imagine how tickled pink you were to stop and listen, and see the birds in your garden. x
