I agree, that blue sky is a great background, and the slightly different view is interesting too. Nice photos.
The angle at which you took these photographs makes the roses look huge. The blue sky is a great background.

Lovely shots of lovely roses. My roses are now pretty much done for the year...even my floribunda Cinco de Mayo which has been a great bloomer. I do have one yellow rose which started opening before the chill and was kind enough to continue.

The roses are beautiful, but I agree there's nothing better than a blue, blue sky as a backdrop! After a week of nothing but gray skies last week, I am loving the sunshine here.
Never thought of the sky as a background for flowers...I like it.
Roses sure are pretty and look so big.
