This was an unusal sighting here Iowa a week ago, a flock of pelicans overhead, no doubt heading south for the winter.

The only place I get to see pelicans is in the zoo (where I actually did see them two days ago). How great to be able to see them in their natural habitat!

The only place where I've seen that many pelicans was in Louisiana when we were redfishing.

I didn't know pelicans were this far north. I've only seen pelicans in the south, most recently at North Carolina's Outerbanks.
Wow, great shot, my daughter took a picture of a flock of crows.
