Thanks so much for your visit/comment about the flame violets. I am so HAPPY that I got to see this lovely photo you took. I love butterflies and this is just amazing. Thank you for sharing and I wish you a blessed Sunday.
Here I see it is a butterfly but sitting in a bush will be hard to tell. I love butterflies and I saw you blake and blue as well - the tree is Skogs olvon in Swedish - Viburnum opulus.
What a MARVELOUS macro shot! At first glance I would have thought leaf, but your title made me look more closely. Thanks so much for sharing and for visiting my mosaics of Ms. Kitty at Small Reflections. You asked what program I use ... and the answer is Photoshop Elements 6. I've taken some classes at the local Adult School to learn how to use the features ... didn't buy PSE7 but will probably purchase PSE8 because it contains handy search features that '6' doesn't. Hugs and blessings,

Butterflies are so beautiful. We won't be seeing any here in NW Pennsylvania for a while now.

This butterfly is truly amazing! At first glance, I thought it was a leaf insect. Even the top part of its wings looks like a caterpillar.

Great photo - love how the net reaches back, creating a powerful backdrop for the beautiful butterfly.

Leaf! was my first thoughrt.
I think waking up as a butterfly after being a caterpillar must be such a delightful surprise. I would flutter in front of mirrors all day :)
Very pretty winged creature. :)

Butterflies are so cool. Great picture.

Beautiful shot! Great depth of field, and I love the framing. Pretty little butterfly, too.
