Camera Critter Saturday

Posted by Picasa

I have had lots of Painted Lady butterflies, I am not sure what kind of butterfly the last photo is.  A Hackberry Butterfly, maybe?  It was sitting on my basil.

Beautiful! Is that some heliotrope I see? I love the scent of that, somehow I didn't get any growing this year. It has been a weird weather year.

Thanks for your comments on my blog.

Had pesto at lunch so may need to cut my basil and try it.Will leave the butterfly out. Nice shots, like the square flowers in the first.not much time to watch these left, have seen a lot of birds flocking, turkey vulture today.

Your photos are so lovely! I to love the painted lady butterfly and enjoy when they invade my yard. My butterfly bush is where they like to hang out here.

Looks to me your butterfly is a Tawny Emperor, I had a Hackberry Emperor in our garden today.

Great pictures. Due to the number of cats in our yard and around our barn. I've quit growing things than encourage them to the yard.
