Bottle Trees and St Francis

Posted by Picasa

I love the southern custom of bottle trees!    Poor St Francis was buried by the last snow storm.   Hopefully he will be thawed by spring.

Some nice color in the snow.I laughed at a sleeping elf in the snow peeking out from under the blankets in my garden.

I don't know the custom. What is it? Boom & Gary of The Vermilon River, Canada.

I love that tree! I saw a blue bottle tree last summer and I've been collecting bottles to make one as soon as it's warm.

Bottle trees are cool. I saw a couple such trees alongside a lake sometime last year.

My first time to visit your blog. Came here via Moments to Remember (Eden). My goodness...that bottle tree looks fabulous in the snow. I think I like it better than how it would look in the summer.
