Camera Critter Saturday-Tribute to a Wonderful Dog

Posted by Picasa

On January 17th we had to help our dear sweet Boxer Boy, Quasi, over the rainbow bridge.  He almost made it to 12, he would have been 12 later this month.  He was a very sweet boy, we adopted him at the age of 5 from Midwest Boxer Rescue.  He had a scar around his neck from someone letting a collar grow into it.  He was perfect, patient and wonderful.

He looks like he was so nice. I have always had dogs. I can't tell you how much they mean to me. You did a lovely memory photos of him.

A very nice tribute to Quasi, he looks like a real love. I'm sorry. I know how difficult it can be to lose a pet, especially such a special one.

I am so sorry. Losing a pet is like losing a family member. You can take comfort that he and you were able to enjoy the best years of his life.

Still one of my favorite breeds. I used to have mine pull sleds back up the hill, as well as me sometimes.

It's so hard to lose a good friend like that. But, he will be with you in your memory all of your life. And, he will be waiting for you at the Bridge.

Aww, so sorry to hear about your Quasi. It is just as hard to loose a pet as a human family member. They become such an important part of life.

I'm so sorry for your loss -- Quasi was such a handsome dog! And he must have been very sweet -- letting not only the other dog but also the cat sleep with him! It's so hard to lose a pet, they are family after all. This was a wonderful tribute to him!

I have always loved your photos of your boxer Quasi. I'm an animal person and have two dogs myself and know how they are so much a part of my family.

This was a beautiful tribute to I'm sure, a dear friend.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Over the year we've had to help several dogs make that trip. Even though it's the right thing to do, it's never easy. Even though Quasi's early life was not good, he benefited so much from your love.

Awwwwwwwwwwww, if this doesn't tenderize the most wicked of hearts, nothing will!!! Quasi had a good life with you, that I can tell from the photos. It's so sad for those of us, tho, those that are left behind. The rainbow bridge has a new and loveable pooch so dear, and you have the most memorable and loving memories!!

Our family just love dogs and get very attached to them. They just don't live long enough.

Yours is very sweet.

I am so sorry about your sweet Quasi. That you made him a loving home for 7 years is wonderful.

I've been reading some of your older posts. You have a wonderful group of animals. Are both the KC Spaniels yours? They are gorgeous. Love the names you've given your cats. I'm owned by three cats at present. I had three dogs (all foundlings), a Schnauzer, a Cocker Spaniel and an old Shiz-Tsu (she was old when I got her, but I loved her for three years). They, too, have all passed over the rainbow bridge.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful kind words, Pat asked if the KC Spaniels are mine, yes they are.

i have tears in my eyes reading about your boy. we had our Max for 15 years and helping him accross the rainbow bridge was one of the worst moments of our lives. we lost cooper last year and baby is 10, jake is 6. we love them all but each passing takes a little piece of our heart.

I am so glad he had a happy life with you. He has a very sweet face. I have no patience and forgiveness for people who treat animals badly.

I'm sorry again. You had told me about sweet Quasi in the email when you comment about the little one I found on the highway.

It's so hard losing our precious babies, but I wouldn't pass up all the happy times with them.
