I got tufted titmice here as I type. It is cold but the wind died down last night. I have a dozen squirrels come up here on the patio like cows come in the morning and evening to be milked. These guys and gals come to get some peanuts and sunflower hearts to keep them going through the cold night. And their babies are developing now. They need food.

I feel so sorry for the people in Japan who were struck with an earthquake and a tsunami. I was stationed in Sendai for two and a half years. Made friends. Have not heard from any of them.

Goodness those roses are gorgeous! I used to have 60 rose bushes, but am not home enough of the year now to care for so many. It is so nice to see your lovely roses.

The roses are lovely, with their raindrops, but I really love the monarchs in the next couple of posts. Last year, I think the monarchs got this far north too late in the year, so we did not have any caterpillars. From them, at least.

Ahhh! The roses for the lovelorn and all! No matter how many elegant and gorgeous blooms, roses always attract your attention in the garden. Lovely!

Beautiful color. I might have to try a few more knockout roses in my yard, cause they seem to thrive the best.

Gorgeous. I was a bit startled because I thought you were in Iowa, but reading down I saw last year.

Our roses start getting gorgeous here in AZ in several weeks and then will be amazing in April.

That looks almost like a tropicana.

Its been a while since I have tried growing roses. Perhaps this should be the summer I try again! Beautiful, colourful petals.
