Ducks and Geese

The ducks are starting to migrate through our area, the top photo is a Coot, or Mud Hen or Hell-Diver.  I'm sure everyone knows what the second photo is and I wish they were just migrating through but they stay here the year round.

I think Google must be having a bad hair day still, 1st they stole my blog and now I can't upload photos from within Picasa.  Good Grief.

They're so beautiful to see in ponds and lakes, but they sure can be messy.

The birds are beautiful.

Yes, I agree about Blogger. All kinds of strange things happening. I hope it's not an April Fool.

One of the first things my wife told me when I got back from my road trip yesterday "...and the geese are back" as we heard them honking overhead signaling they were coming in for a landing.

I hate it when computers fizzle. I enjoy watching the migrations.

We aren't in any of the migration routes, kind of wish we were, we have that nice pond across the street, the mess would stay there, but we could enjoy the beauty!

I wish I could just live with the google and blogger issues, but they upset me every single time!

Great photos! I've been trying to resist the urge to go and get some of these turtles I see sunning on a log with geese around.

I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Love the Canada geese! We always have a lot them here in early spring. They are just beginning to come through here now.
