I wanted to join Macro Flower Saturday so decided to do a double post for Camera Critter Saturday.

Just a few photos from my neck of the woods this week, our hummers are gone now, I have not seen one in a few days.  The grasshoppers are here and there.  A tadpole coming up for air.  And I am not sure what type of bird the photo is but there were several of them circling around when I took this picture.

Rainy Roses

We had almost 2 inches of rain today.  It was hot and muggy yesterday and stormy today.  I want some nice cool fall weather!

Camera Critter Saturday-Monarchs

The Monarch Butterflies were passing through this week by the hundreds.  I had planted a butterfly bush this past spring, they are not hardy to my zone 4 garden but it sure attracted the butterflies!  I doubt it will winter over for me but I have decided I will plant more next spring and treat them as annuals if I must, as it is worth to see all the butterflies!

I'm not sure what kind of bug is eating the Black Swallowtail Caterpillar is or if it killed the Caterpillar or is just taking advantage of the free lunch.
