I can almost smell those hyacinths! That's a really sweet climber. Is it a convolvulus? The pot plant has amazing colour...and the detail in your photos is breath-taking! I'm tickled pink now!

Sally, that's a bromiliad of some sort.

Jennifer is correct, it is a bromiliad.

Wildlife, the climber is a pink morning glory, it self-seeds for me although I thought this was a different hue that I usually see, it was in bloom way late in the season, so I am not sure if the cool weather made it paler than usual.
