Friday the 13th

Since there is not much to take pictures of in my garden right now except depressing frozen foliage I thought I would share a couple of bug pictures, I like to take bug and butterfly pictures. These were taken last fall the grasshopper and the bee were both on my Autumn Joy Sedum or Live Forever as some people call it.

Our grandsons are going to be with us this weekend so I hope it is nice enough for some adventure walks or at least to get outside.

These are superb photographs with such detail! I love all the wild creatures who come to visit the Barleycorn garden.

Wildlife, I too love the creatures and try to plant for their benefit as much as possible.

Beverly, I use a Nikon Coolpix S4 camera, I also have a Nikon Coolpix 8800 which takes better pictures but the Coolpix S4 bends in half and is much smaller so I can get better angles, I had a Coolpix 4400 that I used for a number of years that also bends in half. Hard to describe unless you actually see it :). One can turn the lens part around and photograph yourself, why anyone would want to do that is beyond me but you could :). I am saving for a Nikon digital SLR so I can get a macro lens. But I am happy with my S4, it has excellent close up focusing ability. Back in the old days I used a Pentax K1000 with various lens, my favorite was the macro.
