October 15th Blooms

This had been an unusual fall for this area, we usually have had a killing frost by now. Lots of my annuals are still blooming, they are looking a little ragged but still are in bloom :). For perennials, the asters are in their full glory, also the sedums, the hibiscus are still blooming, mostly while laying on the ground but still blooming. I have some roses still in bloom as well.

Your photos are so beautiful. I like the contrast with the black background! It has been such a wonderful fall... even the moss rose (which I hardly ever plant) is still alive and blooming. Amazing!

This has been an unusual fall, that's for sure. From the pictures it looks like your garden is still going "full out"!. Thanks for joining us again for GBBD.

Really nice pictures! I especially like your St. Francis surrounded and embraced by those green heart-shaped leaves! Did you plan that?

It seems as if fall was far away from your garden. Everything still has the "touch of summer" .... No signs of frost or coming winter. Enjoy all these wonderful colours (as I did when seeing your pictures!).
Regards from Switzerland (actually it is sunny here too)

Your garden still looks great... don't you wish every fall was like this? I hope to still be digging at Thanksgiving, but things can change overnight.

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Irena, you would be welcome in Iowa, come on down!

Birdie I do enjoy my garden, someday I hope to have more time to enjoy it even more.

Chuck B, I did not plan the vines that way, those are just morning glory vines that take over everything by this time of year no matter how many of them I pull up.

Don, yes it would be great if every fall were like this but as you said it can change in a day, next week at this time it could be snowing :) and if the amount of moisture we have been getting does not change I think we better be prepared for lots of snow. Snow days, yeah!

What a wonderful assortment of blooms. You certainly have more things in flower than we do.

We too have had an unusual fall here in KC. I have left the houseplants out for the time being as much as I love them in the house for the winter I know they do much better outside. Since we haven't had a killing frost it has helped keep my mood up, which my other half likes. Great pictures of what is still in bloom!!!

You have a ton of things blooming still - absolutely beautiful. I'm enjoying this long autumn - we haven't had a frost yet either.
