Reiman's Butterfly House

We went to Reiman Gardens and Butterfly House last August, I did not get to post many pictures because I was too busy posting my own flower pics so I thought this would be a good time to post the butterflies. They had to close the butterfly house down until April 1st this year because of lack of funding, what a disappointment that is to me. I wanted to get there last month for my birthday but that did not happen, they always have such a beautiful Christmas display in the conservatory as well as the lights in the outside gardens. I love going to Reiman! Last year we went in Febuary, what a treat that was to have the weather below freezing and be in the tropics with butterflies flying around.
It is another foggy night here in Iowa, I saw lightning when I first got up this AM! In January!

I'm listening to lightning outdoors right now! It's odd.

Your pictures from Reiman Gardens are beautiful! A great place to visit!

It is so nice that you are taking us to places you've visited while winter is still all around us. Thanks for sharing. Andrea

Such gorgeous shots! I would love to visit Reiman one of these days. I haven't been to Ames in ages.

Your beautiful photos make me wish spring were here.

At the risk of cluttering your "inbox," I must admit that it was I who deleted the first comment. Both times I wrote "I'm listening to lightning." I meant to say thunder... I was up Way too Late! ;-)

Thanks for posting them even if they're out of season. I've never even seen pics of some of these so I appreciate you getting around to them. The lime green one is my fave!
