I LOVE wildflowers. ;-) Bloodroot and Dutchman's Breeches are livening up the woods around here right now.

Nice to see some dutchman's breeches. I bought a couple thinking I would receive plants. Instead I was sent teeny tiny corms about the size of a small pea. I hope they grow.

I have to wonder why so many of the spring ephemerals have white flowers: Sanguinaria, Dutchman's Breeches, Squirrel Corn, Anemonella, Shooting Stars, Mayapples, Solomon's Seal. There has to be some botanical reason.
