Mr Toad

While planting roses last Friday we unearthed this chubby little toad. We left him to get his wits about him and planted the rose further on in the bed.

We have sooo many of those at the end of the summer, we are next to a swamp. Nice to hear them do their concert everynight though, they have their place, they love the bugs!
How wonderful you have a cocker and a boxer, my two dogs! I love them and have had them seperatly.

Well hello Mr. Toad! I hope you got your wits and moved on out of harms way-that would be a shovel. Scary stuff for a small toad indeed.

I've been unearthing a lot of toads in my garden too. My little girl is fascinated with them and tries to catch them. :)

Hi IGW,
How lucky you are! We adore toads, but don't get many because we are smack in the middle of the city, but when we see one, we give him a little house. We had one stick around last summer and hope he comes back ... we made him a house out of an old terra cotta pot with a door cut into it and he actually used it (at least for a while). Consider giving this cutie a home!

He is quite chubby! :)

I hope he stays around. I'm w/ IVG (hi IVG) ... love having frogs and toads in the yard/garden.

I love having these little fellas in the garden. I had one spend a couple of years here helping me out with all the slugs that loved my plants. Alas, mr. toadie left one year and I haven't seen any since. If you don't want yours, feel free to send them to me.
