I remember growing and walking down to elderly neighbor lady's garden, she grew these flowers in neat rows in her garden. For some reason I was enchanted by them, I still grow them every year. This one is just starting open.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Cleome. I do love them but they get so straggly! Beautiful photo!
I love Cleome too. Their color is so vivid at dusk, it just glows.

They are so delicate looking. I think it is interesting the things that spark our imagination as children always seem to hold us as adults. So many plants I love because of childhood memories.
