Another Rose from Summer Past

This is my absolute favorite. I have my parents' Hull vases on a shelf in our kitchen. They were a wedding present to my parents from my great grandparents and the colors in your rose just match the vases! Do you mind telling me what the name is.

Gorgeous, I love the multicolor roses. Even in the winter we can have beautiful colors thanks to our photo archives. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Mildred, your parents vase must be beautiful, I can not remember the name of the rose and the tag is buried under a few feet of snow but I will browse through the JP catalog this evening, I will recognize it when I see the photo.

Your roses are so beautiful! This one reminds me of an old-fashioned peace rose. My hsb and I are Master Gardeners and have been attending Garden Talks every Saturday at the Des Moines Botanical Center. This Saturday it will be on Buck Roses - talk will be by the daughter of Dr. Buck (who developed the Buck rose). We have a few Buck roses plus hybrid teas and a few shrub roses. We're enchanted with the thought that the Easy Elegance roses are both easy and beautiful and may add some of those to our garden this year.
Only 31 days until spring....
Blessings to you - Beth

Hi Beth! So glad to see a fellow Iowan! I went through the Master Gardener Program several years ago, I enjoyed it, but did not keep up on my volunteer hours after a few years. I would love to take it again after I retire when I have more time.

The rose does look alot like the old fashioned Peace Rose.

Do you go to Reiman Gardens in Ames? We try to make it there several times a year.

The rose is named Bela'roma. I bought it from Jackson Perkins. I would reccomend it to anyone. Very nice rose.

I love the blended colours on this rose.

It looks especially pretty with the little snowflakes falling on your blog :)
