I took this photo of a dragon fly at Sweets Marsh in Iowa, it is a huge preserve but most of the roads into it were so muddy we did not want to chance getting stuck.
Nice shot. We have had a lot of them around here this summer, I love watching them but it is hard to have the camera handy when one lands. One landed on Rocky yesterday down by the river but of course as soon as I moved to grab the camera so did mr. dragonfly.

We didn't even have a full day of no heat and humidity! I can't be out in this weather and that is so frustrating!
P.S. I love the dragonfly!
The heat and humidit is back! Good grief! The 7 day forcast is for more heat and more humdity :(.
I'm sure it's muddy on our property. We had unexpected down pours all afternoon.
Dragonflies always amaze me how delicate they are yet sturdy. Very pretty! We've had way too much humidity this year too, ready for fall.
