Clivia

Posted by Picasa

With so many plants blooming outside I hesitated to post these photos but my Clivia is in bloom again, the plant is over 15 years old and now blooms several times a year. It has two flower stalks.   I was finally able to afford a yellow one this year but it is a young plant and probably will not bloom for at least a couple of years.

How very lovely! I don't think I've never seen one of these. I know what you mean about those inside potted wonders though. My African violets are blooming like crazy at the moment and since I've been housebound with the humidity wrecking havoc with my asthma I am especially thankful for all my plants right now.

Beautiful, impressed with the 2 flower stocks and the age of your plant . Did not know it would flower severeal times a year. I have a 2 year old orange flower plant. Was very excited that it has just finished reflowering after a year waiting.

Rosemary, 1st it flowered once a year for several years, then it started flowering twice a year for a few years but the past two years it has flowered at least 4 times a year, so far this year, it has flowered in March, June and now has the two flower stalks but actually I'm wondering it isn't a pup that is flowering at the same time.

Indoor blooms are always a treat. I have seen large groups in a few botanical gardens, but never had one.

The blossoms are gorgeous. I don't blame you for wanting to share them with us. I'm glad you did!

That's a pretty flower. I like the hummingbird suncatcher too.
