Posted by Picasa

I took this photos this week, I think it may be the end of the butterflies for year here in North East Iowa.

I haven't seen many this week, I believe they have died or gotten out of Dodge.

Nice captures!

They are beautiful. I saw one earlier this week but the weather is starting to turn so it probably is the last of them until next year.

How beautiful! Yes, I think that the butterflies are almost gone. I haven't seen any around here in a week or so.

We've been enjoying all the butterflies here too. Then they just vanish as they journey to the south.

I wonder what happens to these butterflies in your part of the world during winter. What forms do they linger to perpetuate their species, and come alive again next spring. Your photos are always so beautiful.
