Well, going to see the Amish stores was a bust, they are buying their merchandise in China the same as all the other stores. But we did visit a store that sold bulk goods, baking goods, and candy mostly that was fun. Bought a few things there. There was a General Store that had lots of Amish fabric, I bought 3 yards. It was a nice day for a drive. I came home and planted bulbs and started cleaning up for the winter.

That's too bad about the Amish stores having merchandise from China. Did you go to the Amana Colonies? No, they're not Amish, are they?
Your photo's are nice. Still have some nice blooms. My SIL says it's getting pretty chilly where they are in Jessup.
Few they may be, but they're all very pretty!
MG, The Amana Colonies are not Amish, the Amana Colonies is an old German settlement, that has wonderful restaurants and lots of shopping. The Amish do not believe in electricity or drive autos, they still use horses for their farm work and horse and buggy to get around.
Your SIL lives in Jesup? How cool, we went through Jesup twice on Saturday. I am sure she is familiar with Amish Blvd.
It seems odd to me that the Amish do not use electricity or drive automobiles, but they have merchandise from China in their shops.
Sue, it seems really odd to me as well about the Amish and the Chinese merchandise but I guess they want money like the rest of us. But it strikes me as hypocritical.
