I took shots of the same subject the other day heheh, good thing I did not post it or we could have had the same entry. I guess the peonies has very sweet nectar isn't it?
Can't have peonys without ants, it seems. You are way ahead of us in growth, mine are nowhere near forming buds yet here in Oregon. Wait, I'm going to go look at them now............I was wrong! There are buds on there! I guess we aren't so far behind after all.
I remember the ants on my mom's peonies too, when I was a kid...I guess they need to be there to make the blossoms more brilliant with carrying pollen and such.
Thats one plant Iv'e never had before and my mum said she loves them, maybe I should seek one out as a present. I think she remembers them from childhood. Nice post btw.

Ants always love the sweet stuff.

Ants attracts sweets, love the photo of the peony and ants, very cute.
Lovely! I just hope that ant doesn't cause any harm to it, coz they're such a nuisance here.

I will have to try the peony, especially if they are frangrant. Cool shot of the ant.
Could we ever be more grateful to such a tiny critter than those who find our peonies?!! Nice 'glam' shot of this guy.
I saw my peonies on Sunday, forgot about getting the camera and now I bet it's too late to get a picture.
