Ants are on the peonies, fragrance nirvana is soon to follow!

Yes, when we used to have peonies in our garden, they also visited by ants.

Can't have peonys without ants, it seems. You are way ahead of us in growth, mine are nowhere near forming buds yet here in Oregon. Wait, I'm going to go look at them now............I was wrong! There are buds on there! I guess we aren't so far behind after all.

I remember the ants on my mom's peonies too, when I was a kid...I guess they need to be there to make the blossoms more brilliant with carrying pollen and such.

Thats one plant Iv'e never had before and my mum said she loves them, maybe I should seek one out as a present. I think she remembers them from childhood. Nice post btw.

I have some peonies that are just blooming for the first time this year.....so excited to see them!
